Ashley Winslow Newbury
Starting her career in 1997, was a dream come true for Ashley. She has always loved the design aspect of hair and fashion, so she decided this was the perfect fit! After finishing Gene Juarez Advanced Training and working in their Bellevue salon and spa for 5 years as a designer, she decided to transition to an exclusive Wella and Bumble boutique salon. Ashley then went on to train in New York at Bumble and Bumble University and also Wella Studios. In 2010, she realized her passion for the industry had shifted a bit, so she decided to take the leap to becoming a salon owner and open Winslow... She has never looked back since starting her journey! Ashley specializes in hair design and styling, but also loves what her color application can do to bring out the dimension and texture of a new style and especially loves creating beautiful blonde's! When away from the salon, she enjoys time with her family and amazing husband who helped to make Winslow a reality with his loving support and talent for building or repairing just about anything! You can also find her riding and showing her American Quarter Horse which has been a passion and hobby of hers since the age of 3!
Cheraea grew up in the beauty industry and realized very early on that she was meant to do hair! she decided to make it her profession in 2010 after completing advanced training in color specialty for a high end salon in the Northwest. Cheraea has also had the opportunity to work in professional fashion shows as well as educate stylists right out of beauty school to get them salon ready. She has an extensive background with Loreal Professional, Oribe and R+Co. She excels and specializes in Balayage and Blondes... her passion lies in all things color! In her free time, Cheraea spends time practicing art, spending time with her family and traveling all over Washington to attend concerts!
Having been a stylist for 10 years, Rachelle has had extensive training with Bumble and Bumble, Oribe, and Loreal professional. She has had the opportunity to travel to Florida and Las Vegas for several Oribe hair shows - working with Oribe himself to further her skillset. She has had the opportunity to style for editorial magazine and bridal shoots. She has mastered both French and British hair cutting techniques and creates beautiful color to compliment her work. Her desire is for each client to leave feeling their absolute best. In Rachelle's free time, she spends time with her husband, family, and of course, their French bulldog, Rosie!!
Jenny attended Gene Juarez Academy in 1996. She then completed a year long apprenticeship at the Gary Manuel Salon in Seattle. Two years later, she had the opportunity to train with Vidal Sassoon's Master Stylist, Ron Matarazzo and Head Colorist, Lorane Matarazzo. Her passion for hair took her to New York to train at Bumble and Bumble University, Wella Studios and with Nick Arrojo, of TLC's What Not To Wear. Jenny loves to create a whole new look for her clients, but she also believes even the smallest change can be amazing! In her off time, Jenny enjoys being with her family and finding inspiration through fashion, food and music.
As a stylist for over 16 years, Sai specializes in signature blondes and dimensional brunettes. He enjoys creating beautiful hair with balayage and foiling techniques. Sai mastered his haircutting skills through extended training with Bumble and Bumble, Redken, L'Oreal and Oribe. His strong technical background and attention to detail has gained him a following of both men and women who love his work. His devotion to his clients over the years has allowed him to develop a special bond with each and every one.
Sai has styled at Paris Fashion Week along side the Oribe team and has worked fashion shows in New York, Las Vegas and Seattle.
Catherine has been a hair stylist since 2009. After working at a salon in Denver, Colorado she moved to the Pacific Northwest. She has completed advance training from Gene Juarez, Vidal Sassoon and Bumble and Bumble. Catherine loves creating lived-in bohemian hair that is trendy yet easy for her clients to style at home. She specializes in sun-kissed color, textured haircuts, and men's grooming. She highly values continuing education and is always finding inspiration in the latest fashion trends. When not at work Catherine enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors, enjoying live music, and spending time with friends and family.
Jenica was born and raised in Alaska and knew from a young age that hairdressing would be her calling. While still in high school, she worked at a salon’s front desk as she finished a 2 yr Cosmetology course. She then moved to Dallas, TX and completed her training at Toni & Guy Academy. She worked in Texas for 9 years doing lots of “big blonde hair” before moving to the Seattle area in 2007. She has 20 years of experience with creative color, artistic haircuts, and beautiful styling. Jenica has had training with Oribe, Bumble and Bumble, L’Oreal, Redken & R+Co. Her specialties include bridal hair, naturally curly hair and fiery reds. When she’s not behind the chair you will find Jenica chasing after her 6 and 2yr old daughters and enjoying a glass of wine with her husband!
Kyle has been a stylist and educator for 20 years. He has had special education and training with Frederick Fekkai, Christophe Soltane (Creative Director of Gene Juarez), assisting and training with Marco of Marco's Two Union Square Salon, Sebastian Artistic, Gene Juarez, Oribe and Kerastase L’Oreal Education teams. Kyle has also styled for many celebrities, worked on television and commercial shoots, editorial magazine photo shoots, and worked at Paris Fashion Week. He is mastered in French and British methods of haircutting and a Balayage and Highlighting specialist. Known as a Balayage Influencer, his Instagram Videos and Photos have made him a local celebrity with over 26,000 followers. Kyle focuses on the complete picture when determining the best look and image for his client, taking into account individual personality, style, and lifestyle.
Saige is an exceptional artist who focuses on detail. She’s known for her outstanding knowledge of color and her keen eye for custom haircuts. Saige believes it's important to get to know her clients and what they need out of their stylist. She's professional, caring and passionate in her approach with hair and loves making her clients feel beautiful and valued. She attends an average of five classes per year, so she’s always up to date on the latest trends and techniques. “In the hair industry we are always learning. To think you know it all, creates stagnation and makes you dull and repetitive. The color, texture, and shape of hair is a creation that highlights the best parts of ones natural beauty and I love making that happen!” Saige explains. Breyana was in the salon at an early age, with both of her parents working in the industry... she has been a stylist herself since 2003. She worked as an instructor at the Paul Mitchell Academy in Atlanta and Phoenix where she became the head of education. Breyana spent over eight years traveling throughout the U.S., teaching stylists on the Paul Mitchell Artistic Directors team, with Scott Cole and Linda Yodice. Currently, Breyana is focusing on life with her children and husband. She enjoys cake decorating and party planning on her time off. Breyana's favorite thing to do with hair, is to create a cut and color that compliments and enhances one another, in turn, complimenting the person wearing it. She loves how people are breaking barriers with hair that are stereotypical of their age, gender, and social group. "Hair is an outward expression of what's happening inside, if you feel it shows people a bit of who you are, then go for it!”
Melissa started her career 10 years ago. In that time, she has attended L'Oreal Professional advanced color training, in addition to foil technique and balayage training at Di Pietro Todd academy in San Francisco. She has had the opportunity to work in fashion shows, exclusive Oribe educational events, and has received continuing education throughout her career. She has a passion for education and takes pride in finding what's right for each individual client. In Melissa's down time she has many loves such as family, photography, boating and just enjoying the outdoors.
Sara is originally from Iceland and has 11 years of experience in the industry. At the age of 15, she started her first job sweeping hair in a salon, then trained and graduated from Cosmetology school in Reykjavik and then went on to study hair in London. She feels very blessed to have worked for some of the top salons in both cities and has had amazing opportunities to work on exciting projects. Moving to Seattle, Sara quickly realized she was here to stay and is ready to settle down in Kirkland where she is looking forward to building great new relationships with her clientele. Sara loves being involved in the hair and beauty industry, keeping up with the latest trends and meeting interesting people. She believes that education is key to be successful and continuously learning new ways. Sara is a licensed Barber as well and enjoys working with her male clients and keeping their cuts on current trend. Her passion lies in design and she loves her blonde's!
Sami started her career as a hair stylist in 2010. She was part of an extensive apprenticeship program with Gene Juarez Salons, advancing her skills and became a haircutting specialist. She then moved on to a new salon where she learned she had a love and passion for color! Sami then traveled to LA to further her color education, as well as taking classes by highly trained educators and well known balayage specialists. "I thrive on giving my clients the best cut/color to fit their life style, skin tone, face shape... I love making people look and feel beautiful every day!" Says Sami.
Kristel started her hairdressing career in 2012. In that time, she has completed advanced training with Vidal Sassoon, Oribe, and L'Oréal. Kristel specializes in creating bright blondes and multi dimensional color, but also loves the challenge of perfecting a corrective color. She is very passionate about continuous education and always strives to be a better stylist. "I want every guest in my chair to walk away feeling beautiful and refreshed!" In her spare time, Kristel enjoys being outdoors, boating, and hanging out with her dog, Bella!
Nicole was introduced to the beauty industry at a young age through both her mother and stepmother who are accomplished hairstylists. She attended the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute and The Academy At Seven Salon. During her 9 year career she has had the opportunity to travel to Oribe hair styling events and has attended L’Oreal advanced balayage classes. Nicole has had her bridal work and men's hair styling featured in local magazines. She is passionate about creating multidimensional balayage and voluminous blowouts, as well as precision men's grooming. When she is not in the salon, Nicole enjoys exploring new restaurants, wine tasting, and traveling.
As a stylist for over 20 years, Gina is an expert in creating beautiful hair that has a natural and sophisticated feel. She takes pride in listening to her client’s desires to tailor each look to their personal style, physical features, and individual lifestyles. She specializes in artistic cuts and styles utilizing her extensive training in both French and British cutting techniques with a strong attention to detail. She continues to expand and further her technical skill set by pursuing learning opportunities with experts in the field.
Leah began her career as a stylist in 2013 after attending Gene Juarez Academy. Since then, she has worked with various product lines and has an extensive background using Oribe, R&Co, L’Oreal Professional, Redken, and Wella. She loves the ever-changing industry, and has continued her education throughout her career in order to keep up with future techniques and trends. Past opportunities include working Seattle charity events, styling for fashion shows, and educating newer stylists fresh out of beauty school. She has a passion for creating beautiful, bright blondes through balayage, and loves to use many types of foiling techniques. In addition to lightening, she enjoys formulating vibrant, multidimensional brunettes, and tailors her cuts to each individuals specific lifestyle, bone structure, and face shape. In her free time, Leah loves traveling, and hiking around Washington. She and her boyfriend Dylan, also love staying involved in regular community service events, exercising, and spending time with family.
